And 9 months later...
Sorry to let you down but no I didn't just give birth to my 3rd child just before my 2nd is about to turn 1. Na'a honey. Mommy's got a whole lot of fats to shed before I proceed to becoming fat again. Contrary to the believe of some commercial directors, that pregnancy makes a woman light up like sunshine, to myself, it does exactly the opposite. Yeah, I did light up. No. No. Let me re-phrase, I bloomed up was more like it.
Thank god that I was a house wife at the time or my bosses would have gotten into some big mess with me for trying to sort my crazy hormones out. I cried on an almost daily basis. I pee'ed in my pants at least once a day. I was crazy h**** most of the time. What an experience it was.
Then came 'labor' day and after 6 hours of continuous screaming, crying, begging, arguing, screaming again - I was finally ready to push it all out. Whoosh! And out came my beautiful sunshine named 'Safiyya Raihanah'. I call her Hannah (it means happiness). What a relieve it was. Such an emotional moment for both me and dear hubs.
Wait there's more!
If you think that I was going to say 'and they all lived happily ever after', you probably have not gone through labour yet. Well, this was just the beginning to 2 months filled with emotional distress, lack of sleep and, nipple cracking jokes - kidding.
Suffice to say, me and hubs looked like we were some cult follower at the end of my confinement. But, yes but, even with all the sleepless nights and zombie-like eye bags, we were and still are - happy.
You see, these little creatures called children, they are miracles that makes you happy by doing nothing but crying, giggling, demanding, screaming and many other attributes you'd frown upon should it come from another being. It's like magic - it just happens.
Love,
Mel
